Mechanical tools for mounting and dismounting

Mounting
Small and medium size bearings are generally cold mounted. Traditional methods can cause forces to be transmitted through the rolling elements, resulting in damage to the raceways. The mechanical mounting tools help prevent bearing damage during cold mounting.

Dismounting
Choosing the right puller for the dismounting job is critical. The puller type, and its maximum withdrawal capacity are crucial for completing any dismounting job safely and easily. We offer a complete range of easy-to-use mechanical, hydraulic and hydraulically-assisted bearing pullers for use in many bearing applications.

Track Roller

Cam rollers

Cam rollers (yoke-type track rollers based on ball bearings) are designed to run on all types of tracks and to be used in cam drives, conveyor systems, etc. The outer ring running surface is crowned as standard. Double row cam rollers are also available with a cylindrical (flat) outer ring running surface. We supply cam rollers greased, sealed and ready-to-mount. They are available in two main designs and also as variants of these:

• Single row cam rollers based on deep groove ball bearings
• Double row cam rollers based on double row angular contact ball bearings

Support rollers

SKF support rollers (yoke-type track rollers) are designed to run on all types of tracks and to be used in cam drives, conveyor systems,etc.. They are based on needle or cylindrical roller bearings. Wesupplies them ready-to-mount.

Cam rollers
cam followers (stud-type track rollers) are designed to run on all types of tracks and to be used in cam drives, conveyor systems, etc. They are based on either needle (fig. 1) or cylindrical (fig. 2) roller bearings. Instead of an inner ring, they have a threaded solid stud (pin). SKF supplies them ready-to-mount.
